First data and analytics on Company and Insolvency Court launched

Solomonic’s new Insolvency Module tracks every new action in the Company and Insolvency Court so litigators can stay on top of the latest developments.

Award-winning litigation analytics start up, Solomonic, today launched the UK’s first analytics offering based on the claims, applications and petitions in the Company and Insolvency Court.

The module, part of Solomonic’s trailblazing data and litigation analytics platform, was developed in collaboration with top insolvency firm, Grant Thornton and the leading insolvency chambers, South Square. Input was also provided by litigation specialists, Stewarts

The new offering covers analytics on close to a thousand insolvency judgments and has already ingested over 6,000 insolvency actions, allowing users to track activity and clients at the click of a button. Users can advise on claim prospects, application success statistics and close the knowledge gap between insolvency practitioners and the firms who appoint them.

Ian Richardson, Insolvency and Asset Recovery Director at Grant Thornton commented, “We have been engaged with Solomonic on this project because we see the power of the data it can provide on what is happening in the market and the law firms acting in the space. The data is very valuable and timely.”

Will Mackinlay, Chambers Director at South Square added, “We are delighted to have collaborated with Solomonic on the product. We can’t wait to start using it in earnest to help monitor trends in market activity, assist our competitive intelligence gathering, and inform our business development plans.”

Alex Jay, Head of contentious Insolvency at Stewarts commented, “Our firm has worked with Solomonic from the start, and we are really excited about the insight and value this data will bring to our practice.

Edward Bird, Solomonic Managing Director, said “This is a ground-breaking moment for Solomonic. The data and analytics from this Court isn’t just vital intelligence for lawyers, insolvency practitioners and litigation funders, it is also a powerful barometer for the state of our economy, and we are hugely excited about the analytics this data is going to produce.
